Each year volunteers donate their skills and talents providing almost 10,000 hours of their time to Tulare County Library and Literacy Program.

Must be age 14 or older.

A parent's signature is required for anyone under 18.

Orientation and training will be provided.

The Library reserves the right to approve all volunteers and volunteer activities.

A variety of volunteer assignments are available. Volunteer duties vary from branch to branch.

Teen Volunteers
Teens who participate in the Teen Advisory Group (TAG) can earn community service hours and volunteer experience.
​​
Homebound Program
Volunteers wanted to select and deliver books to homebound residents at assisted living homes in Visalia. Must be at least 18 years and be able to provide your own transportation. .
You can always expect a heartfelt — sometimes unspoken — thanks from your local library and its busy staff for your exceptional volunteer work.
