Pick Up Services

Contact your local branch as hours may vary.

Tulare County Libraries provide pick up services that patrons can use by calling in advance.

  • Items can be requested online or by phone.

  • Call your local library to request items or verify holds are at the branch.

  • Provide your valid library card number and contact information. Card must be presented at pick up.

  • Limit 10 items per card per day.

  • Allow a minimum of 2 hours for staff to locate and process items. Staff will notify by phone if unable to locate an item.

  • Call the Library when you have arrived to pick up. 

  • Present the library card used to place the request. 

  • Items and check-out receipt are placed in bags.

  • Items are checked out before pickup and held only one week before being checked in and returned to the shelves or other library location.

Safety and Procedures

Please plan for a short stay and abide by these guidelines:

  • Wait outside for staff direction.

  • Practice social distancing inside and outside.

  • Masks required. 

  • Children under 8 must be with an adult.

  • Return items to book drops. Staff will not accept at the door or over the counter.

  • All items are quarantined upon return and will be checked in after 7 days.

  • No book donations accepted at this time.

  • Holds are limited to locations offering services.
