The primary purpose of the Library Advisory Board is to find ways to maintain and improve library services in Tulare County. |
The Library Advisory Board
- Is a citizens group appointed by the Tulare County Board of Supervisors, including two members and one alternate from each of the five supervisorial districts, plus five members-at-large.
- Meets monthly to keep informed on library matters and to consider ideas for maintaining and improving library services.
- Advises and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on all phases of library services - works with the County Librarian.
- Provides liaison among the public, the library, and the Board of Supervisors.
Would You Like to Help Improve Library Services?
- Visit your branch library regularly and keep informed.
- Attend an Advisory Board meeting. Meetings are public and held on the second Thursday of each month at noon at the Visalia Main Library. Call (559) 733-6954, ext. 200, to confirm meeting time and place.
- Send your suggestions for improving library service to the Advisory Board by writing to Chairperson, Tulare County Library Advisory Board, 200 West Oak Avenue, Visalia, CA 93291.
