In 1988 the Exeter Library Friends became a nonprofit benefit corporation. All donations to our group are tax deductible.
Our purpose shall be to maintain an association of persons interested in libraries as a center for knowledge and culture, to focus public attention on library services, facilities and needs; to raise funds for increasing library services; and to encourage reading and listening enrichment in our community.
Book Sales: We conduct two annual book sales in the Exeter City Park each year -- Fourth of July and the Fall Festival. We also have other fund raisers as needs arise. We are responsible for a book review in the local newspaper (The Exeter Sun) on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
Meetings: We meet the fourth Wednesday of the month, except for November and December, when we hold a combined meeting the first Wednesday of December. Our meeting is at 7:00 p.m. in the Exeter Branch Library conference room. It's an open meeting and everyone is welcome.
